On one hand when major Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) are tanking, the meme coins are making strength amid the wide sell off.

As per the data the global crypto market has tanked and there has been a drop by 1% in the past 24 hours. The cumulative market capital is standing at around $1.02 trillion. Coinglass data reveals that more than $200 million has been liquidated over the past one day.

Major Meme coins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu is on an upward trend while the number one and number two crypto assets are struggling to maintain a fair degree of stability. Meme coins have surged by 3% in the last 24 hours to stand at $17.1 billion.

Shiba Inu , the canine based meme coin has surged by 4.5% in the last 24 hours. SHIB is changing hands when reports last came in at an average price of $0. 000013.The trading volume of the meme coin in the past one day has jumped by 4% and stood at $946. The downside was more than $1.86 million has been liquidated from the Shiba Inu over the past day.

As per reports by Whalestats, the biggest ETH Whales have hoarded an additional $5.1 million worth of the canine based meme coin. The major 2000 Ethereum Whales are now holding $163.6 million worth of Shiba Inu tokens.

The Largest meme crypto Dogecoin prices have increased by around 2% over the past one day. When reports last came in DOGE was changing hands of $0.070 and its 24 hours trading volume stands at $619 million. However, data also revealed that around $1.86 million has been liquidated from Dogecoin in the past 24 hours.

BTC Price Tank Imminent?

BTC as predicted tanked in values and fell 3% in the past 24 hours and was changing hands at $21,249, at the press time. Its 24-hour trading volume tanked by 10% to stand at $31.7 billion. However, experts are predicting that Bitcoin prices might surge ahead and subdue the recent FUD in the market. $36.6 million BTC have been liquidated in the past one day.

However, ETH crashed by 5% in the same period and was trading at an average price of $1,632.9, at the press time.
